4/16: What happened to the Arawak people?

The Arawak people were reduced in population from about 5-6 million to about 30 thousand today, all caused by the settlement of the Caribbean and Central America and the diseases brought by the explorers

The europeans came and brought diseases with them killing many arawak people, then ? introduced slavery
