3/8: Why was there an East and West Germany after WWII?

There was an east and west Germany after the war because the u.s wanted a democracy and Russia waned a communism

Because russia wanted to be a commuisnest and the US france and the other countrey wanted to be free

West= communist
East= free (democracy)
Each controlled by different people

Russia wanted communist and everyone else wanted democracy

East germany was free and belonged to U.S., france, and U.K.
West germany was communist and belonged to russia
Russia built a wall around east berlin separating the democrats from the communist.

Because Russia wanted a communist Germany and the US the UK and France wanted a capitalist Germany so the split Germany in two.
